Alteration costs will vary depending on the style of dress and the type of work required.
For example, shortening a simple two-layer dress will cost less than altering a full 10-layer skirt with lace trim.
As a guide, you can expect to budget between £300 – £550 for standard alterations.
For dress redesigns or major size adjustments, please contact me with your wedding date and photos of your dress so I can provide a tailored quote.
Most brides will need two fittings.
If your dress requires significant alterations, an additional fitting may be necessary. I’ll let you know if that’s the case after your first appointment.
You’re welcome to bring guests with you to your fittings. Please note that my studio is small, so only 2–3 people will fit comfortably. I kindly ask that, where possible, small children are not brought along, as my workspace and fitting area share the same space and it is not a child-safe environment.
For your fitting, please bring the shoes you plan to wear on the day, as well as the bra you’ll be wearing (if applicable). If a bra isn’t an option but you’d like some support, I have a selection of sew-in bra cups available. If you have a larger bust size, please contact me in advance so I can ensure I have the correct cup size available for your fitting.
